Macomb CC hosted the 2023 CyberAuto Challenge at their 60,000 square foot Sports & Expo Center. Ford Motor Company, Toyota, and the Michigan State Police (MSP) brought vehicles to learn on and assess; the police also brought some infrastructure equipment to assess; and the US Department of Energy brought a DC-Fast Charger to use for their electrical vehicle class and then serve as an assessment target. The MSP also brought “Kiby - the cyberdog” to showcase her ability to sniff out electronics during investigations and to let the students get some touch time with a very playful pup. Classes included forensics, binary analysis, software defined radio (SDR) and GPS, guided attacks, electrical vehicle & infrastructure, CANBUS, software reverse engineering, and Automotive Ethernet.
